The weight, that is! Reno is finally gaining weight. Just 3 days ago, she weighed in at 1lb, 6 oz. I was really worried whether or not she was gonna make it. Even after 5 days of Metro, she was still not eating much, and her stool was clay colored and liquid.
Today, she weighed in at 1lb, 11oz! It is nothing short of amazing. All she had been doing was sleeping, and barely eating. Last night, and today, she actually played with a toy! She still tires easily, but (knock on wood) it seems she has finally turned the corner. Whew.
Last night, we had Ted and Martha over from 50 kittens. We have been in contact, passing information back and forth about Reno, so it was awesome that Reno got to come down and strut, since she was finally feeling better. They don't have any kittens right now, so I was happy to share! She was happy to get all the undivided attention.
As for the rest of the circus, they are all to weight, and could go back to be adopted...if the quarantine was lifted. I hope they do it this weekend. These guys need to go while they are still little. They are all adorable, so they should get picked up quick. Reno is gonna be here probably until we leave for vacation. Boy, is she gonna be spoiled.

We are glad Reno is gaining. Hopefully the quarantine will be lifted soon and they can all go to furever homes
Quarantine lifted today! Yay! Bad news is, the spay folks are having a training, so they are going to be short staffed, and only have 15 spots available. Since there are some fosters that have actually been out longer than my guys, I will keep them for another week. Maybe Reno will catch up by then! She was at 1.15 today!
Is Reno the itty bitty one who mostly is sitting and watching the play action going on? I'm worried about her since she doesn't seem to have the kitten exuberance of all the other cats...hope that she will continue eating, get her strenghth back, and thrive...
That's her quiltcat. But if you had seen her the last 2 or 3 weeks, you would understand how much better she is. Every day she is better. She does play a little, but she is also now only have the size of the others, so I think she is a bit intimidated by them. In less than a week, she has gone from 1lb.6oz, to 2lbs! nothing short of a miracle. She is progressing. I will keep you posted!
How're things going, Jamie? (or are you on vacation now?)
I read this post last week (although I didn't comment... just doing drive-bys of my favorite blogs whilst knee deep in year end closing at work).
Now that things have slowed down I'm trying to catch up. Loved seeing the little ones on video. Quarantine over yet?
Gaaahhhh... your response said quarantine had been lifted. Forgive me... not reading closely enough!
I will post later today. Everyone is fine. Going back to the shelter Monday!
okay... just notice you have video clips now... and I laughed out loud at the clip where Buck knocks the camera out of your hand...heheheh...
It wasn't in my hand...it was on a tiny tripod on the floor! But you know Buck. And yes, it was BUCK that I said when it fell over!
