Exploring

I let all the guys out this afternoon for a few minutes. They have been rushing the door for a while now, so I decided to let 'em come out and see. They don't go far. Mama came out and looked around too. Unfortunately, she met Ripley, and a hiss and a swat. No damage done, but she decided to go back in the room and hang out. Bishop ran in and jumped to the top of the condo, and mama was happy to see him. She likes him, and he plays well with others. Mama Gia was rubbing all over the place trying to get his attention.

The itty bitties discovered the ceiling fan. Another new thing to see! And look at that huge cat! (Buck) Buck is curious, and loves to pretend that the itty bitties scare him.

He leaps in the air with a little squeak, and runs in the opposite direction. Pretty funny to see him run from them. They think it's great fun, but they are still too scared to chase him.

Isn't it funny how they are mesmerized by the ceiling fan? Ours always are when they get to a certain age where they can focus on it.

Hey--saw you are an ex-field hockey player in an old post. Me too! What position?

Ahh...back in the day, I was a goalie. : )
Love field hockey. I have to admit, it has been many years since I have played.
I only played 2 years in high school, but I was recruited by MD and Indiana. Ended up not going to college at all. : (
Oh well...I did OK, and I played a lot of softball, and flag football. Also 4 years of women's full contact football 2001-2004. Lots of fun.

I was also a goalie until last year of h.s., until I just got burned out (we had a very competitive team
that was top in the division..too much stress!) I switched to golf sr year, but still love the game, and watched the US team during the Olympics last month..couldn't remember what the corner penalties were all about! Ultimately, I enjoyed individual stuff like running and hiking, but we field hockey goalies are totally tough gals! I took some tough shots to the belly in my day! Grrrgh! Of course, you went to the next level with football...but now we're both turned into fluff by little kittens!

LOL! Yeah, we lost our edge! Heheheh. But I can clean up poop with the best of 'em!

I hated the running. Still do. I don't get the whole running for the sake of running. If I am chasing someone with a ball, or running away from someone when I have the ball, I get that. ; ) I LOVEd the whole goalie thing. Penalty shots were my favorite!

My best friend (and hockey teammate) can't believe I'm a runner now because that's why I chose goalie--so I wouldn't have to run so much! In hindsight, I was probably more cut out for the cross-country team...and now...yes...co-captain of poop cleanup team.
